Sunshine Thrift return and refund policy

We understand that when shopping online, there are times when the item you receive isn’t what you hoped it would be. We offer a 14 day return policy on all items. The 14 day returns window begins when the order is delivered to your address or chosen drop off point. The item being returned must be posted within this 14 day window to be eligible for a full refund.

For your item to be eligible for return it must have the Sunshine Thrift tag intact. If you return an item without the Sunshine Thrift tag on, we cannot process your refund and you will be asked to cover the cost of the return.

You are responsible for securely packaging the item so no damage is incurred during the return to us. If you fail to appropriately package the item for return and the item is damaged on it's way back to us, we will not process your refund.

The returned item must also be in the exact condition as it was when we sent it out to you. Any evidence of use or wear by you will prevent us from processing your refund and you will be asked for cover the cost of the return. 

To request a return, please get in touch. We will provide you with a pre-paid returns barcode for you to use at your local Yodel drop off. Once your item arrives back with us and we have approved your return for a refund, we will process the refund, minus any delivery costs, onto the original payment method. The cost to return your item is covered by us. 

We will process your refund within 7 working days of your returned item arriving back with us, as long as it is with its Sunshine Thrift tag and the item is in its original condition. Any delivery costs on your order will not be refunded even if the full order has been returned.

There are certain items we cannot accept returns for:

  • Pierced jewellery such as earrings. This is for hygiene reasons.

 Nothing in this Returns Policy affects your statutory rights.

In the event that your parcel is not delivered to the address on your order after multiple delivery attempts by the courier or you fail to collect your order from the collection point, any delivery fees on your order will not be refunded if your order is eventually returned to us.

International Orders Exception:

Orders sent outside of Great Britain (England, Wales, Scotland) are not eligible for free returns. Should you wish to return your international order, the cost to return is to be paid by you. Notify us here of your intention to return your order and we will provide you with the address which the parcel should be returned to.

International order returns are subject to all other aspects of the Sunshine Thrift returns policy as detailed above.

 

Get Rid return and refund policy

Get Rid mailer bags

Purchases of Get Rid mailer bags, via any available payment method, are only refundable once you complete your Get Rid return. Purchases of Get Rid mailer bags are refunded via your chosen Get Rid payment method and cannot be refunded back to your original payment method. We will only refund the value of your Get Rid mailer if your completed Get Rid order includes approved items. We will not refund you for your mailer bag if you return only rejected items or only items which do not adhere to our Get Rid guidelines.

Final values and payment methods

We cannot return any items which you send to us through Get Rid. Once you have shipped your items, they cannot be returned to you, even if they are still en route to us. Your Get Rid final value is non-negotiable and cannot be changed. We cannot return any of your items if you are unhappy with your final value. We will send you valuation for your items once you raise your Get Rid order. Before sending your Get Rid items, you should review this valuation to ensure that you are happy with it. The accuracy of this valuation is solely dependent on the accuracy of the information provided by you on your Get Rid order.

Your Get Rid payment method cannot be changed once you have sent your filled Get Rid mailer bag. To change your payment method prior to sending your filled mailer bag, get in touch via email. In your email, please confirm your Get Rid order number and your new chosen payment method.

Losses and damages

Sunshine Thrift are not liable for any damages or losses incurred by the carrier when your items are being returned to us. In the unlikely event that this does occur, we will work with you to find an appropriate resolution. We will require proof of postage for your returned Get Rid items before we can look into a resolution for you.

 

Sunshine Thriftmas return and refund policy

Limited edition ‘Merry Thriftmas’ bauble

Our ‘Merry Thriftmas’ limited edition Christmas baubles are non-refundable nor are they eligible for a refund.

Orders that include Christmas gift wrap

Gift wrapped items are eligible for refund or return as per our refund policy. The gift wrap cost is non-refundable and will not be included in any final refund value.
