Payment Methods
We offer a choice of three payment methods for your Get Rid order; cash via PayPal, a Sunshine Thrift voucher or a donation to a charity of your choosing. Unfortunately, we cannot split payment across multiple payment methods.
Once your Get Rid order has been approved and you are invited to order your mailer bag, you will need to choose your payment method. Depending on the payment method you choose, we may need some more info from you. Learn more about how each payment method works below.
Cash via PayPal
How does it work?
If you choose cash via PayPal, you will be prompted to confirm the PayPal email address you would like to receive payment into when you are ordering your mailer bag.
When will I receive my payment?
You will receive the full value of your approved Get Rid order into your nominated PayPal account within 24 hours of your Get Rid final value email.
Why PayPal?
We choose to pay you for your Get Rid order via PayPal to protect you as well as us.
If you do not have a PayPal account or are unable to create one, please choose an alternative payment method.
Sunshine Thrift Voucher (worth 15% more than other payment methods)
In other words, a golden ticket.
How does it work?
With a Sunshine Thrift voucher, you get more bang for your buck. Sunshine Thrift vouchers are worth 15% more than other payment methods. If your final Get Rid value is £20, you would receive £23 in Sunshine Thrift vouchers.
When will I receive my voucher?
You will receive your voucher within 24 hours of your Get Rid final value email. Your voucher is valid for one year from the date of issue and can be redeemed on any item.
Donation to charity
How does it work?
You can choose to donate the full value of your approved Get Rid order to a charity of your choice. The payment will be made anonymously via the PayPal Giving Fund. When purchasing your mailer bag, should you choose a charitable donation as your payment method, you will be prompted to provide the charity's name. If you have the charity number, please also provide this. Having this additional information helps us get the money to your charity much faster.
There are no fees for your charity when accepting this donation. Your charity does not need to be registered with the PayPal giving fund at the time of the donation.
When will my chosen charity receive my donation?
We will process your donation within 24 hours of your final Get Rid value email. We will send you an email, with proof, confirming that the donation has been made. Please be aware it can take anywhere between 15-90 days for your charity to receive your donation. If your chosen charity is registered with the PayPal giving fund at the time of the donation, they will receive payment quicker.

Payment via your chosen payment method is final. No amendments can or will be made to the value or the payment method. If you have provided us with an incorrect PayPal address or charity name, Sunshine Thrift is not liable for any lost funds.
